I agree about SAP, but I also believe that there is a market for an enterprise software suite that is somewhere between the huge monolith that SAP is, and the simplistic PC-ware that some lowend players provide. That middleground player used to be Oracle, back in 1995. Then it was a 2-horse town, oracle and SAP. But then Oracle let their business slip and psft acquired more functionality. This JDEC merger was the beginning of the end for Oracle. If psft can execute I would say they could eventually dominate the upper mid-market. Oracle has the keys to the castle with their DBMS, they really snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with the apps products though. Siebel, I don't know, Cisco likes them. Seems like they have a spotty record for sure.
