You will be happy to know that at my teacher training college we were taught to teach creatively, to reward differences, to teach by more than wrote, to open the classroom up, and to try to engage every student at some level.

No matter how the schools were originally imagined, creative teachers can make them work. We simply need more creative teachers -IMO.
