Project BioShield is a comprehensive effort to develop, manufacture, and stockpile effective drugs and vaccines for use in the event of a biological attack.
Project BioShield will streamline government-sponsored research of biological, chemical, nuclear and radiological weapons and medicines to combat their effects. It will also authorize a special reserve fund to purchase enough of those countermeasures to respond to catastrophic terrorist attacks.
Added Blunt: "When it comes to protecting our borders and the citizens that live within them, party affiliation should be checked at the door.
