Many of the "weak" were also able to raise between 100 million and a billion + extra dollars during the last bubble. Those companies for the most part have just hacked their personnel and spending rates to get the burn down to sustainable levels. I can attest that the start-ups have certainly been weeded out for the most part. There will be more failures, but we are certainly past the 1/2 way point in that cycle.
