I thought Greenspan said it well.

On the asset side (at banks)of foreign currency manipulation, large supplies of currencies occur.

He further stated he thought the beginning of this trend was occurring - as in the weaker dollar is an imminnet result of foreign manufacturers forcing a high dollar - thus an export advantage in price for their products.

Who says we have to give everybody a competitive advantage thru high currency dollar valuations.

Granted it keeps our industries on the leading edge and must be low labor intensive / highly productive and efficient.

When the pay back for this lunacy occurs - it will be the Americas (Canada thru Mexico that will be the only healthy game in town).

This is a major reason Japan lags.Their system will be displaced by China and South Korea. The worm is already turning and you see positive earnings happening at home already i.e Nokias crying this A.M. - the dollar is huting us - BOO HOOO.

My heart cries for you.

Pay back is all I can say.
