It Would Appear That We Have Transitioned To A Death Match

between the market and bonds.

They are now trading almost precisely the opposite of the other - although bonds appear to be willing at this point to take their cue from the market.

Both can not survive.

But neither can either survive without the other.

As the awareness of the situation increases I would expect that rumors of FED intervention, threats of FED intervention, and ultimately perhaps FED intervention in the bond market will attempt to provide some relief.

Of course any such initiatives are doomed with our friends over seas fully prepared to crush (crush not devalue) the dollar at the first sign of such activity.

I would expect that fairly soon it will become much more obvious that doesn't matter who winds and who loses since they have leaped off the bridge chained together.

"but you tell me over and over and over again my friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction."
