Nadine,
There is a huge difference between saying that Saddam was "no threat to anybody" and "not an imminent threat." The question of whether or not this war was necessary or not will rage on, especially if casualties mount and the guerilla war that is now happening escalates or even just continues at its current "low intentsity" level. I know where you stand on it, you (possibly) know where I stand (no it wasn't necessary at the time and in the manner in which it was done). More important than actually getting rid of him immediately was rendering him impotent. My guess is that there were better ways of doing that than the one chosen.
