Ooops!!! Apologies are in order to President Bush from al those who have called him a liar.....we'll see if any of the Bush hating morons have any class.....

CIA Didn't Get Disputed Documents Until February 2003

Now I understand why you voted for Bush; just as great minds think alike so do <blank> minds. YOU fill in the blank.

Let me try to explain this to you so that your mind can grasp the import of the entire situation.

'Yellow cake' uranium is not really cake. Its a potent element that is used essentially in the making of a nuclear bomb. A nuclear bomb is a very deadly WMD aka Weapons of Mass Destruction. Are you following me so far?

Other than a declaration of war, the State of the Union speech is the most important speech a president can make during the course of the year. Everyone listens very carefully to that speech because they all know its importance. Consequently, everything that is put into that speech, particularly anything controversial, is checked out thoroughly before its admission. The last thing anyone wants is for the president to make a mistake heard round the world, and that speech literally is heard around the world.

In his latest State of the Union speach, Mr. Bush said that Iraq had bought "yellow cake" uranium to make nuclear weapons. Until the article you posted came to light, it was understood that Mr. Bush's statement was supported by documents albeit forgeries supposedly in the possession of the CIA prior to the speech.

However, we now are being told that the documents in question did not enter the possession of the CIA until AFTER the State of the Union. In other words, Mr. Bush made his dramatic statement based not on substantive documents as we previously thought but on flimsy hearsay that already has been discredited by Mr. Wilson nearly a year before the State of the Union. That would be the equivalent of you yelling fire in a crowded theater not because you saw fire or even smelled smoke but because you thought you saw what looked to be matches lying around. Think flimsy as in cheap, falling apart easily, trashy. Comprendez?

And let me remind you since I suspect your memory might be poor that it was the State of the Union coupled with Powell's presentation to the UN that got the American people turned around and in support of Mr. Bush's desire to go to war.

<font color=red>However, the most damning item in the article you just posted is not that the letters did not arrive at the CIA until AFTER the State of the Union as bad as that is but that the CIA and [Mr. Bush] knew two weeks before our entry into war that those documents were forgeries. Two weeks before the war, they knew at least part of the basis for entering the war was false.

The hubris....the mendacity......the utter gall.......its hard to believe that an administration could be this arrogant. It is an example of noblesse oblige.......in other words, let them eat cake. And like the author of those famous words, I suspect Mr. Bush will end up on the presidential equivalent of the guillotine.<font color=black>

Have a good one......and in the future, you might be careful as to what you post regarding Iraqi gate!
