perhaps because there is no recent bad news you can find?

No, to be honest I didn't bother looking at the date, since 11i is a fairly new product. I just go to computerworld, type in "11i" in the search and out comes hundreds of articles at least 50% of which are customer complaints, the others seem to be PRs from Oracle. Most of the articles are from 2002.

I don't know why you guys are giving the executives at Oracle a free ride on this. The 11i product was the most major release for Oracle apps since multi-org. Companies like Cisco who are still running 10.7 (lots of companies in this boat) were planning to go straight to 11i, and these quality issues make them leery for a long time about Oracle products. Lets say a car company released a new SUV with major engine problems the minute you drove it out the door, would you ever buy a car from these guys again? Why does larry deserve 900K stock options for this mismanagement? I don't think he does. Note that in general I am a fan of Larry. But this mismanagement of apps at Oracle doesn't deserve excessive compensation imho.
