The problem is the difference between toleration of points of view which are distasteful and illegal behaviour. The former is allowed the latter is not.

I believe we're saying the same thing. My primary perspective is that I have NO obligation to preserve the rights of any group who, were they to obtain power, would strip those very rights from me.

The constitution is of more importance than any political party, or ideology. It you have a view and you can sell enough of the American public on it to get elected, that's how the system works. But if you lose that support, you're out at the next election. No party has the right to overthrow or nullify the constitution under which they were elected.

Unfortunately, too many groups that X was referring to are completely intolerant and non-democratic. Which means they espouse illegal, unconstitutional, beliefs and seek to coerce those views upon every citizen of the US.

And I just don't believe we have any obligation to tolerate such groups. It doesn't mean that we have to aggressively target them so long as they pose no risk, but they are not necessary entitled to any special rights not available to the rest of us.

I can't stop someone from hating others. But I can stop them from gaining power in the United States if their rise to power threatens my constitutional guarantees.

Hope this clarifies any confusion on my perspective.
