we soon will find trade barriers everywhere
global trade has killed developed economies, which have higher cost structure from several components, most notably the high valued currency

ironic, but investment demand in stocks and bonds drives up the value of a developed nation's currency...

only to crippled its industrial competitive base

I think #3 (nothing but faith) is most appropriate
and #2 is strong also (clueless)

politics have permeated all phases of American life
from economics, to sports, to academia, to corporations, to nonprofit groups, to civic groups
in doing so, politics have dictated the revision of history wherein all lessons on the Great Depression were not learned

this generation will have their own new chance soon
but my guess is they will find scapegoats
e.g. Arab oil producers, FOREX currency speculators, Asian exporters

these three groups will be targeted well before 2005-2006
when the pain accelerates
