It was up to the UN then to decide if and when to resort to the ultimate enforcement tool The UN failed to live up to its responsibility, thus rendering itself useless -- hopefully, eventually resulting in its death (at the very least, a diminution of its significance). Someone had to step up and make the tough choice. Bush did. Its disturbing that you can't see that what Bush did to get us to war was not good. His judgment re. the WMD issue was badly impaired. In fact, the UN was much closer to the truth. Bush moved to quickly; there were better ways to take care of the matter. It strikes me that Bush must not have very much experience in these kind of matters or he is extremely impetuous.
