Those who are impatient for a continuous flow of news should be comforted by the fact that this stock is incredibly stable. It has good support at this level. Large block buy orders don't cause it to run up just as large sell orders do not run the price down. There is evidence of accumulation and consolidation. It is anybody's guess whom might be accumulating but my feeling is that there is serious money being invested here.

As for announcements, I think the next one we are going to see will concern the decision by the Venezuelan government to supply its crude to AIPN's refinery for the production of asphalt. This is, in my opinion, significant in that it will provide the company with its first major supplier. Governments do not normally contract to supply companies that they are not sure are financially stable enough to pay for their product...in this case low quality crude. Expect this announcement very soon. It will be regarded as a vote of confidance in AIPN's stability.

The next news we can look forward to will be the results of additional seismic surveys in the 40% of the License Area not yet evaluated. It is my understanding that the survey is under way and should be completin a matter of weeks. If the results substantiate claims by the Kazak oil people that this field is as big as Tengiz, the market's reaction will be very positive.
Next, I think we look for a clear statement from the company regarding its approach to development and production of the field. AIPN is in no hurry to conclude a production agreement with a major. For one thing, they do not have a complete evaluation of the potential of the entire License Area. Second, they may want to wait for "early oil" which would give them a much better bargaining position. Then there is the possibility that they may choose to partner with different companies for different parts of the concession.

Bottom line, is that we can expect additional positive news soon. In the meantime, you have to love the way the stock is acting with respectable volume. One thing is for certain...AIPN is no longer trading like a penny stock.

Cheers...Faris
