All those actions in the Balkans were supported by a broad consensus of democracies .... there were many arguments pro and con intervention, it was a tough call in some cases, but the independent democracies and the US decided together to go in

That was then .... now, there is on the part of current US admin a policy of every single major decision of our species being made in the back rooms of Washington, then imposed on the Rest of Us .... thusly, we get the unilateral invasion of Iraq ... oh yeah right, with Tonyblare tagging along .... though Tonyblare's subjects do not prefer that all be decided in the back rooms of DC, you can betcher boots on that

This is the single most important evil coming from the PNAC bunch that Dubya fronts for, that they set us on the road to dictatorship by their pride, or laziness, or pure hubris, what ever it is that makes them incapable of cooperation, and leads them to spout their yer with us or agin us line .... no matter what happens from now on in Iraq, whether their occupation 'succeeds' or fails, they have failed the test of standing up for that great Idea of Uncle Sam - that we decide these things together

They are either with us, or they are against us ... and so far, they seem to be choosing the latter
