When I bought this house it had been empty all summer and was infested. One wolf spider was so big we could hear it running down the carpeted hall every morning. I finally clubbed it one morning with a piece of 2x2 and it felt like hitting a mouse.

The landscaping was full of spiders and what cleaned those spiders out were ducks. We got two tame ducks and some wild ones showed up. They'd plow the landscape mulch with their bills and were spider eating machines.
