Iso, re IVANHOE review...

Indeed good to see contrary views expressed, makes one rethink ones investment basis...

I am particularly interested in the grade issue regarding the copper and gold deposits. They have appeared low to me and I'm looking to see that issue addressed on the Monday call and related releases.

I will take exception to at least one of the points made about IVANHOE raised in the message your referenced, and frankly it makes me question the others, though I am not as confident in the basis of my retort, nor would it be as simple:

"how is IVN supposed to pay its bills in a much
higher cost country? higher construction costs, higher transport costs, weaker
infrastructure, weaker labour pool, and higher power costs."

I think if one substitutes the word "lower" for "higher" one has the answer. He hasn't been listening to the same presentation or doing the same reading I have.

The rallies in the stock have been regularly capped at the $3.50CND area. There are some problems I have about the Presidents' approx 45% ownership in the company. This may influence institutional purchase decisions. He may be the seller for all I know. I have asked but never received an answer to the question as to whether or not Canada has insider sales reporting requirements as we do in the US. It also seems quite clear additional capital will have to be raised for operations to start. The company will find it difficult to list on American exchanges because of its interest in a copper mine in Myanmar.

The stock price has a positively configured DMI and is trading above both its 40 day simple and 200 day expediential averages. Ultimate Oss is positive on the weekly...volume rose with price this week. IVN's performance has been equal the HUIs in the last three years and over the last 12months. Significant overhead resistance in the form of old volume exists from $3.50 to $3.60. (See three year chart below.)

IVANHOE is a Canadian exploration company....that pretty well sums up the risk. Only the most astute and closest to the situation know the true facts from the PR hype. The fact that some of the more knowledgeable explorer and junior investors over on "the other thread" have positions suggests that at least some of the best have also been fooled, if indeed they have been..

I have an overweight position in the stock with nearly 20% profits. I wouldn't expect nor would I advise anybody to take or hold a position on that basis…..but it is a fact. While usually an intermediate to short term trader, I do hold and have held sizable longs position relative to portfolio size in three securities which I currently believe have exceptional upside potential and for which I have a 3 or more year time horizon….They are CRED GNTA and IVN.to There is either some, or a very significant speculative element inherent in the ownership of each.
