Well, Freddy, I think I took the naturalistic metaphysical worldview aspect of this debate right out of it when I said that clearly, a belief in evolution did not preclude that a higher creative energy--God or whatever you want to call it--could be behind the simple facts/details of life on earth. I think there is plenty to weigh and measure in this debate, prominent among the issues some evidence that all life has been created in the last few thousand years, which would have to totally invalidate the accuracy of radiocarbon dating, for starters. So I am not sure what you mean when you say that what is being debated is presuppositions about the nature of reality. Perhaps you could clarify that!!! I like both stories!!! The Biblical story is a beautiful one. Nothing has yet convinced me that it is remotely what happened, though. Hey, I guess you got that telephone pole removed!! You are almost sweet today!!!
