Well, I'm on day 4 w/ the Treo 270 In Venice, and although T-Mobile has assured me GPRS covergae - I GET NONE! Can use the device as a phone only. My colleague has a blackberry device with him that T-Mobile has also said will work here - and you guessed it - nothing! We have been on the phone w/ T-Mobile ourselves, and our offices back in the US but nothing is getting done. Bottome line is, we get no covergae in here. We can see a prtial gprs signal on the blackberry, and one network identifies itself as GPRS on the treo 270, but we can not access either.

On to Florence Monday, maybe things will be better there? (I doubt it though...)

Back to the trusty (but real slow) GSTRF connection. Still better than the $5/minute hotel phone charge.
