highest unemployment in more than a decade. I thought it was in 9 years. Well it doesn't matter. I don't know that you are wrong and even if you are making a big deal about it would be quibbling. The unemployment rate continues to go up. In OR its over 8% and it WA state its fast approaching 8%. It is further proof that the tax cuts have been mostly ineffective and Bush ignores it at his own peril. However the unemployment rate is not that high by historical post WWII standards or compared to the average rate in my life time (I was born in 68), and it isn't a lot higher then the rates that occurred more then once during the last decade. Tell that to the people who are unemployed. ted
