addendum... in the shower just now, an idea hit me. it came out of the showerhead in the water and soaked into my head. regarding deepak's idea about desire... it seems that a major and universal desire of mankind is to have the freedom to pursue happiness... when you think about it, it's the pursuit that brings the pleasure in our lives... that's what defines and creates our happiness. the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat are tiny, tiny moments in our lives. who wants to see only the last three seconds of the superbowl? deepak's next book should be titled... "the happiness of pursuit"
