Please reread my post. I am saying that the US alienated its allies by adopting a policy that was impossible for any other country to support -- a policy of "regime change". The general US policy attitude was "screw all of you, we will do whatever we want from now on, and if you don't automatically fall in line behind us, then we will treat you like you are against us". France was singled out for the most shameless and hateful attacks.
