Hi Long Joe, James and all,

I just got back from out of town and saw that you two have been keeping this thread going. Before leaving, I did talk with Alex Cesar(Sp?) at Telxon IR to find out if I could listen to the replay of the conf call. Apparantly, TELXON does not provide replay but he said they might consider it in future.

Anyways here are a few points I thought were noteworthy.

1. Shifting products to standard configuration instead of custom built. This should improve margins as production costs are lowered.

2. The isuue with the article in Ohio newspaper about the severance package. He said that it was an internal miscommunication between mgmt and employees and has been resolved and it is no longer an issue.
I am sure that "The Other Joe" still will not buy it but I am just telling what I was told.

3. Spin off of Aironet is always a possibility.

4. Of the 3 Mio shares authorized for repurchase, company has repurchased 850,000 so far and will continue to repurchase more.

5. Currently, 25% of revs are from international sales. Company is looking to raise that to 40% in a couple of years.

All this is probably in the annual report but I thought you folks might be interested. Just 2+ $$s away from my 25+ target. When it does hit that I plan to lock in some profits and let the remaining ride for a few years. We shall see. Anyone dare to predict when it will happen. I hope 8/97 as it is my birth month.

Regards,

JK (Long on Telxon)

PS. Wonder Where short Joe is lately? Haven't heard from him in a while. I wish he would come back since we need bears to keep the bulls in check.
