Marcos,
I will be the first one to switch if this quags out. The itchiness to grade the peacemaking efforts a failure is a problem of the gens beginning with us baby boomers. We exercised great patience in vietnam and got burned. Iraq is different. No, it doesnt have to work out. You may be right about this hit and run guerilla stuff becoming more substantial and long lasting. I dont think so but....... I wish you could be as open minded the other way.
Bush team has to show themselves again to be fast on their feet. Now it is time to find some wmds/saddam&sons and simultaneously involve europe and UN in peackeeping. I dont think they can go hat in hand to UN until they get some good PR on the war or wmd front. Frankly 7 billion dollars is an economic cost we cant bear forever, nor the guerilla war even with small casualities. Time for the blue hats, the chemical vats and Nurenberg Redux. Now if you wont jerk your knee, perhaps you can see some merit in this modest proposal. Mike
PS before you say it i know there is a possibility that we never find wmds or sadamm or sons and that sort of puts a crimp into my proposal.
