Allan, I agree with your feelings on entries The only things I might add to what you said is in your last paragraph where you say "entries are more difficult in a bear because you won't likely be saved by the big trend." In that sentence I assume you meant to say entries on the long side, since the "big trend" has now been down for the last three years. The problem that some shorts have had trading this rally is that they have been waiting for "the big trend" (the downtrend since 2000) to re-assert itself, but it is obviously taking a lot longer than many of them had anticipated.
