Frank,

Hope you didn't get lost while you were hiking around Canada.

No problem. The bathrooms are much smaller than in Vegas.

Actually, we did get lost a couple of times on one of the trails. For whatever reason, most of the trails we hiked aren't blazed and that can cause temporary problems. I used to wonder how anyone can walk a complete 360-degree circle without realizing it. I learned that it's really easy to do, especially when the sun is directly overhead.

The photo ops were plentiful post-card stuff of alpine lakes surrounded by evergreens, waterfalls, glaciers and snow-capped mountains. This is the sort of stuff that I had never seen. Most of it can't be seen without hiking. Having visited Yoho National Park on this trip, it is now my favorite national park.

The singular moment of excitement: we saw three Grizzlies -- Momma and her two cubs -- no more than 100 feet ahead of us smack dab in the middle of our trail. Fortunately, they had no interest in us and they were out of sight in no more than 10 seconds. Before you ask, the cameras were in my backpack.
