On the face of it, this does sound reasonable, that the Bush admin would refuse to negotiate alone with NK, in favour of a broader based table, all the interested parties hearing every word
However, in light of Bush admin's performance in re Iraq, and this angle you state having come from Bush admin, you have to ask yourself, what are they not telling us here ...... just not up on current detail in re NK-US, and while it is taken for granted that NK will be lying through their teeth, the record to date of the PNAC bunch is not exactly exemplary either
Here's another effect of the Bushmouth, that 'axis of evil' speech ...... it was Barbara Frum's kid who wrote that speech you know, says he invented the phrase, stuck in Iraq and Iran, presumably they gave him a PNAC programme when he got the job, but then later just before Bush reads this, somebody else stuck in the north koreans, felt the term 'axis' needed three wheels .... funny how things work, eh .... i would not wish negotiating with these people on my worst enemy |
