VERY disappointed with my GSM and lack of GPRS service here in Europe (Italy currently). I am traveling with two brand new devices, a Treo 270 and the Blackberry 6200 and neither can access data (gprs) networks. I'm through with T-Mobiles tech support, who insist it "should" be working, etc, etc, etc. I think data just does not work here, or most likely they are not opening their network to data roaming. The devices can see all three GSM networks available here, only one, TIM has GPRS, both devices see the network, but after 10,s and 10.s of technical hours of support, 5 days, and over 30 phone calls, we can not get data on either device. And considering each device is brand new, the quality of the phone calls are pathetic, and I have experienced more than 30 dropped calls in 5 days. It is an absoulte joke (this is in downtown Venice, with full 5 bar signals by the way).

I have relied on my Globalstar Phone for business calls, and even have reverted to it for data access.

I am in shock at the amount of trouble and lack of quality of the network(s) here.

I long for my CDMA on Verizon.......
