You left out Chaney. You may be giving them too much credit, not being naive. What happens in the next 10-20 years when oil gets really scarce? The only significant and easy (read cheap) reserves left in the world are in Iraq. And there are a few oil men in this administration that clearly understand that situation. Weighted against the comical "Iraq threat to the US" argument, the importance of securing access to cheap Iraqi oil is the only conclusion a reasonable person could come to. Problem is it's not turning out to be so cheap, especially wrt the lives of our young soldiers.


John, if what you say is true, and it could well be, the only way they will get away with it is to break a lot of laws. Its the thing about which I have worried and I would not put that pass them. After all, they also believe they are doing God's work. <g>
