I still think every single contract should be the same dollar amount, and then you add dollar incentives.
TD's, INT's, missed blocks, missed tackles, dropped balls, pretty much hit-or-miss on everything, you get added bonuses.
Guarantee them 3 million up front for one year, then a million a year with incentives every year after that. If anybody cannot live on 3 mill for the rest of their lives, there is a problem.
How many times have we heard someone say 'I'm just happy to be here' ?????? uh-huh, right..... I'd sure be happy for a million a year, let alone 15 million. Problem is, if the fans and the networks pay it, then they command it, it must all be working out. |
