AS,

Re: Kerry is 100% consistent as this was his view all along.

"Consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"When the facts are unclear, I keep an open mind. What do you do, sir?" --John Maynard Keynes responding to harassment from a reporter who questioned Keynes on the matter of consistency.

*************
If all we can count on from Kerry is clever political messages that are intended to be innocuous, inoffensive and image-conscious for the sake of a foolish consistency, then he's going to lose his bid for the Democratic nomination.

The Bush Administration is the most profoundly easy target the Democrats have had since Warren G. Harding. Mr. Kerry needs to be told that nice guys come in last.

The milquetoast approach is wearing thin. Time to take off the gloves.....

I'm aghast that you've been reduced to "consultant-speak" weasel words. "(M)ore political cover" is exactly what this nation does not need today.
