OK. We're not talking current military communications technology; we're talking 1967. A claim that at that time a call for help could not be jammed is ludicrous. Period. Communications was comparatively narrowband at that time and therefore jammable.

And nations DID (and do) in fact keep track of frequencies used by other nations for military communications. This was considered a vital piece of information in the enemy's (or potential enemy, which covered everybody) order of battle.
