To the thoughtful, the only thing about Iraq that is worth even a sideways glance from the US is oil. Without oil it doesn't even rate with Liberia. Iraq/oil ... oil/Iraq, same thing. The last easy, cheap massive reserves in the world, as we are heading towards crisis.

I hope you are not naive enough to believe we are spending ~$4B a month and killing our kids, to liberate the Iranian people?
