I think I clearly said "what the feds" spend on education, which isn't an insignificant amount of money. Although in comparison it seems insignificant. I suppose if you didn't read what I wrote you might be mislead (?).

re: If you want another not particularly relevant comparison - The amount Americans spend on beer is similar to what is being spent in Iraq.

Yea, you want to lose support for the war, try to make THAT tradeoff!
