The whole Bush administration was duped. Not by uranium reports, aluminum tubes, chemical trucks, Saddam, or bin Laden, but by their own arrogance. They believed that, post 9/11, that the American people gave them carte blanche to do whatever they pleased, because we were so cowed with fear. That temporary pass has expired, and it is a cold slap of water in their face.
