Canada is now taking control of the International Peacekeeping mission in Kabul. It would probably take a lot peace keeping troops to properly occupy and restructure Afghanistan, Kabul itself is the only portion of Afghanistan that is currently patrolled. Afghanistan does not enjoy the vast national wealth that Iraq currently enjoys.

Perhaps a new country could be created from both, it could be called Afghanq or Irastan, it would be rich. The United States would have to give those soldiers already in Afghanq to the UN, a new International UN Army, ready to strike across any ocean, nukes too, stationed in Afghanq, Irastan if you prefer.
