So are you saying there should be a statute of limitations on genocide? Ah, ten years seems to be the thrust of the article. Interesting.

Also, I understand that my number of 250,000 killed is a conservative figure. Saddam's genocide was not made a public spectacle, so it might take a few years, unearthing mass graves, etc, before we know the real numbers.

A friend tells me that the death toll from the Iran/Iraq war was over 1-million people. Figure that into the equation, then there's quite a saving of life happening with Saddam out of the way, in excess of four times my numbers. Wow, the Iraqis must be thanking their lucky stars! Well at least the one that are not baathist.
