My broker has a $500 daytrade margin with $8 rt trades. The catch is is you are in a trade with a small account and the amount in your account gets near $200 or so they will close you out. That cost me almost $1000 and caused me to exit out of a profitable trade at the exact wrong time. I had over $600 in my account at the start of the trade and though I could take a $400 drawdown in my trade. The market did turn where I thought it would but my trade was closed at max loss.
