Hi Don,I do not have a preference for Profunds over Rydex.I have used both with equal success and my experience with Rydex customer service has been outstanding.

I do prefer to switch to Profunds here in this forum because they do offer more funds in areas that we may explore here in the future and they do not offer a regular SP500 fund that matches the index.

I consider the Profunds and equivalent Rydex funds to be interchangable for our purposes here. For that matter any SP500 mutual fund can be substituted for the EQUIVALENT ProFunds mutual fund...although for leveraged positions or short positions the options are pretty much only with Profunds or Rydex.I hope that clarifies it.
