One of the greatest catastrophes of WWII, and one of the longest lasting, was the lunacy of decolonization by the Western powers. The myth that third world inferior Islamic cultures could engage in "self-determination" was the worst of the internationalist babble in the era of Stalin, and the liberal pipe dream od a "United Nations".

The murderers are OUT on Iraq, but the arduous task of re-colonization of most of the Arab world must continue. The classical model of a stuffed-shirt Viceroy is, of course, obsolete. There are far better ways. The US is currently building an Iraqi army of Kurds (who deserve to get all the revenge they want in the "triangle") and smaller formerly-oppressed groups in southern Iraq.

The "triangle" doesn't have a chance, but the major wet work will be done by the people (like the Kurds) who are owed the biggest debts.

Call it "neo-colonization", or whatever you want. Nobody cares what you anti-Americans think anymore anyway. Too many of us have already died listening to your ilk...
