I got a call back from ECD's investor relations the question i put to them related to a N.Y. times article,DVD's Meant for Buying but Not for Keeping by Eric A. Taub (Monday July 21,2003 article in 1st page business section.)

My summation or hatchet job to this article follows. The fact that G.E. was suppling a lexan resin co-polymer to Flexplaly Technologies (G.E owns minor stake.)to make DVD disk that has limited life once package is open with data such as a movie after Walt Disney plans to market these disks. Price range per disk appox. 5-7 dollars. These disk would not have to be returned to rental or retail stores as they can't be copied and have limited life about 60 hours after being unwrapped under normal conditions.

Thus I was curious if ECD had a stake in this. Answer, negative not involved in this technology. General Electric is still looking to see which way the wind was blowing as to pursue the best course with DVD(Was not put to me in those words.)

I then proceed to ask about what we got for one dollar from texaco-chevron hydrogen deal. I was told that 23 million dollars was put in by the tex-chev company.(I belive a two year time frame was mentioned.) I then ask if we had a building for the hydrogen fuel cell operation. Answer was that it was a shared building fuel cell operation on one end and hydride storage on the other end of building. It was mention Stan was trying to commercialize starting with smaller hydrogen storage for computers and small products. The one thing mentioned was that the time table for hydrogen cars was 2010. Speculation, did this possible discouraged texco-chev the long time table for this to develop thus costs. It was mention the ECD was looking for a new partner in this area.

I asked about a DRAPA offer on the 5 year research program. Got standard. ECD is always looking for programs we can work with the government.

I ask about batteries and response was that the stationary tel-communication area is being pursued to replace the lead acid batteries. A conversation when along to Stan believing in selling complete systems.

I got in to discussion about Matshitia arbitration. Basically it was said this is to be final word both sides are expected to obey findings out of court arbitration. November is when results to be given.

I was not well prepared for the right questions. Sometimes when you know the questions answers before you ask its hard to call. I picked up the phone an made an effort to find some news.
