In a commentary reprinted on Stockhouse, Dr. Richard Appel points out that the re testing of hole 6 was but one bad hole that was improved by 40% following the initial 25% of lost core. He suggests the other bad recoveries could as well be improved by similar amounts.

Based on this and the results from hole 22, he concludes, "It is my belief that the newly announced information has the potential to resurrect Cardero’s La Providencia and Chingolo projects."
