The short signal for the SP500 EOD on 07/21/03 is valid but I have changed my mind and will use PROFUNDS mutual funds rather than Rydex.

The only reason for the switch is a broader selection of funds at ProFunds and the fact that Rydex does not offer a regular long SP500 fund.The change is only to make it less confusing in the future.I consider Rydex funds to be a fine choice if that is your only option.

Because we are trading indexes here, I consider EQUIVALENT Rydex funds as completely interchangable.A regular SP500 fund designed to match the index by any fund family is also interchangable for long positions without leverage(CONSERVATIVE SYSTEM).

For short positions or leveraged positions one will need to use a PROFUND or RYDEX fund as they are the only fund families that offer those types of funds.I hope this clarifies my changes but I welcome questions if I have confused anyone.
