There is plenty phony about Bush-speak. Name an issue he's speaking about and investigate his rhetoric versus what he's really doing and what's really happening. The BS level is extreme. Without a script he speaks plainly because he's not articulate and doesn't seem to be able to process complex thoughts. When he's reading a script it's expert propaganda writing. And as we know know includes many misleading statements. Big ones about big issues.
