re: You haven't been reading the news....I think we gave that up years ago; we convict in the papers [and on SI] now. :o{ I am critical of Israel if in my biased view Israel does something wrong. Israel's responsibility for attack on USS Liberty lies in some negligence and less than perfect procedures. In no way it was an intentional attack on US Ship. US revised their notification procedures as well which implies that negligence was on both sides. I like Israel but I am loyal to US and I would not defend Israel if I would even think that there might be even a small possibility that attack was intentional...
