Well that's not an easy question. I'll try find relevant verse to explain it better.

In Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you;"

It seems to me that we actually exist before the biological body.

Psalms 139: 13-16 talk about this too with verse 13 saying in part....."Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb".....

But even before He did that God says He knew him.
