Maybe he realized how gullible some people are, and felt that the real money is in offering trading advice?

OT: wlcnyc will confirm that one of my big themes here has been how gullible some people are, and that there are, unfortunately, those who are looking for those gullible people to prey on them.

For example, there are people who repeatedly throw away money on OTCBB stocks, only to lose and lose again. They'll keep losing and keep defending their losing stocks. And defending the ring-leaders who got them into these losing investments in the first place.

Think there aren't people "mining" these threads looking for such people? It's a con artist's dream! A population of suckers pre-selected for their gullibility.

Is it any wonder that some people on these threads have been offered the "opportunity" to participate in "private investments"? Or multi-level phone card scams? :)

Anyway, (and I realize that this is far off-topic - it's not even meant as an analogy) I think a lot of people who get into these dubious "investments" realize how shakey they are - but feel they are "taking a ride" with the cons. They know it's a con - feel it inside - but think they can "make a deal with the devil" and get away with it. They'll just ride along with a while, and get out before the REAL suckers get burned...
