You're seeing today with the Saddam sons killed the other side of the story. Even though Bush lied about evidence and was reckless in the exact WAY he went about the war, Americans still support taking out Saddam in general. They also support being tough on other countries which may have terrorist ties. They completely supported Afghanistan. In this day in age, you cannot win the White House if you are seen as a peacenik or dove. If Dean were nominated they'd Birkenstock and Ben+Jerrys him to death. They'd make FUN of him. And as unfair as they might seem it would work to an extent. Remember, they'll have 200 million to do it. Wave upon wave of ads trying to cut the nuts off Dean. Kerry is immune from these kind of attacks because he was a Silver Star winning combat hero who is still a rifle-wielding plane-piloting "stud" at 60. While Bush went AWOL am hasn't risked a scraped knee since. Military macho stuff counts in 2004 big-time, in fact it may be the deciding factor in terms of tipping the 20% in the middle one way or another. Someone in the Dem side HAS to take away the military vote from Bush. Or else --
