that although Haggard is proud of the men and women doing the fighting in Iraq, he has some serious questions about America's approach to the war and specifically if there is any "long-term plan at all or are we just running our own wars as we go?"

Dovetails nicely with

This is a much more complex war. That increases -- not decreases -- the need for strategic clarity among the public and the troops. The United States is not randomly in Iraq, and it is not there because Hussein was a butcher or because he might have had WMD. Those are good reasons, but not the real reason.

Seems to be a growing questioning about "What the Hell is going on?" Many went into this war based on trust. With that trust being called into question by events, some are starting to question the reasons of the war for the first time. Continuing attrition of US soldiers, will only increase this cadre of questioners.

I believe, I know the answer to their question, but I'll be interested in seeing the answer the admin proposes.
