Iraq had satisfied the UN on nuclear issues, and was within a matter of weeks of confirming the absence of bio and chemical weapons. Iraq had even destroyed a big part of their conventional weapons on what amounted to nit picking technicalities. Iraq was totally helpless at the time Bush ordered the invasion, and Bush knew full well Iraq posed no military threat of any kind. The real threat to the Bush Cartel's agenda is Iraq was so close to proving it was in total compliance with UN sanctions, that it would have only been a matter of months before restrictions on Iraqi trade would have been lifted. In other words, Bush was on the verge of having his energy manipulation scams backfire on him. Instead of paying a buck sixty and over for regular, we'd have been back to Clinton era gasoline prices once Iraqi oil was back on the market in free trade. All this hoopla about CIA intelligence reports is absurd. The only real experts on WMDs are the weapon inspectors, and there isn't a single one of them who was willing to back the Bush Cartel's rhetoric in the prelude to what amounts to armed robbery. Myself, I didn't really start taking a hard look at 9/11 until a few months into the build up for the illegal invasion of Iraq. At every turn the Bush Cartel was brandishing 9/11 to con Americans into granting him dictator status, and at a certain point it didn't make sense that "terrorists" would have gone to so much trouble to hand the world to Bush on a silver platter. The trick is to follow the money. If you're not sure who did what to who, all you have to do is figure out who got paid and everything becomes crystal clear.
