You have got to be kidding. Gravity works the same as it always has. We may not have understood it in the past and so we studied it and learned something about how it works then explained it in a text book. If we found out later there was more to it or that we were incorrect, we changed the explanation of how it works...but it works the way it does whether we understood it correctly or not...It has not started working a different way as we understood it differently.
